The National Insurance Board met on Friday, December 12, 2025, using Microsoft Teams.
At this meeting, the Board Members:
1. Accepted the following reports:
- CEO’s Update December 2025
2. Approved the following:
Board Papers:
- Board Meeting Summary: The Board approved the Board Meeting Summary for November 27, 2025, for circulation to staff and publication on the NIB website.
3. Received the following Matters Arising Updates:
- National Insurance Audit Update: The Management Letter has been received and is being reviewed for further action.
- 11th Actuarial Report: The report has been submitted to the Minister and is before Cabinet for consideration.
- Blue Hills: Cabinet requested additional information for the government office complex proposal. Sessions will be held to fully discuss and action the requirements laid out in the Cabinet Action Point.
4. Received the following Matters for Consideration:
- Legal Counsel Advertisement: The Board approved the advertisement for the position of Legal Counsel.
5. Received the following Matters for Noting:
- 33rd CARICOM Heads of Social Security Organizations: The meeting ran from December 8–11, 2025, and concluded successfully with commendation to the NIB Board of Directors, Management, and Team for the efforts in planning the event.
- Requested Reporting by Board Chairman: The Chairman requested that three reports be added as standing agenda items: Management Letter Update, Marketing/Promotions Report, and Compliance Report.
- Other Business: The new computer system is currently up and running on the island of South Caicos.
